REVIEW ON THE FAIR AND LOVELY BB CREAM

Hi guys..welcome to my blog.. its my second post for the day :-) okay lets directly jump into the subject.. it is a review on the fair n lovely bb cream. bb creams are the best invention made by the human kind.. i love bb and cc creams.. it just makes the work easier. I have done a comparative review on bb creams that are affordable before.. if you havent seen that yet, you can read it HERE.. Fair n lovely has launched a bb cream few months ago. I was so excited to try this one because it is super affordable..

PRICE : INR 49 for 9gm

SHELF LIFE : 2 yrs.

WHAT DOES THE PRODUCT SAYS

INGREDIENT LIST

It comes in a cute little packaging. It comes in a tube with white plastic cap. It has a pointy tip to get minimal product out of the tube..

It has a typical fair n lovely fragrance. It has a smooth texture to it.. it spreads easily. It has spf 15 which is good..But it enhances the dry patches on the skin. it makes the skin really dry.. it claims that it gives matte finish but there is a difference between being matte and being dry. It makes my skin look dry and it melts away easily when i sweat.

It comes in a single shade and it is too light for any average indian skin tone.. it is gonna suit only people with fairer skin tone. it does not cover any spot or blemishes. it does not cover my under eye dark circles either. when i tried to bulid up the coverage by using more product , it made me look cakey and dry.

It will best suit for people with oily skin and fairer skin tone. by the term '' fairer'' i mean people with almost pale skin tone. Its that light. it does not give any coverage. I use this bb cream as my eye shadow base.. it makes the color more vibrant and pop out really well.

PROS

1. cute packaging
2. affordable
3. it makes the eye shadow look vibrant when used as a eye shadow base.
4. contains spf 15

CONS

1. enhances the dry patch
2. makes the skin dry
3. does not give any coverage
4. comes in a single shade which will suite only for fairer toned girls.
5. it melts away when i sweat.
6. turns ashy when you apply lil bit excess.

MY RATINGS

1/5

THANK YOU  :-)

REVIEW ON JOVEES STRAWBERRY FACE WASH

Hello everyone... have a wonderful week ahead.. :-) its monday morning and i am all pepped up for the week.. i am starting my week by blogging :-) today i have a review for you all. it is on a face wash from jovees called JOVEES STRAWBERRY FACE WASH..  I want my face washes to be moisturizing or at least it should not make my skin dry... i have tried so many face washes in the past. Out of all i loved the clean and clear face wash. I have used all the variants from clean and clear.. They all worked  well for me.
My skin is quite normal but when the climate change, it can become lil bit dry. I picked up this face wash especially because, it claims to keep the skin moisture balanced and not to make the skin dry. I have used a toner from jovees and i liked it a lot.. It gave me a good impression on the brand '' jovees''. So i wanted to give this a shot..

I have been using this face wash for past two weeks.. and i am already here to share my view on it..

PRICE : INR 130 for 120 ml

SHELF LIFE : 3 years.

WHAT DOES THE PRODUCT SAYS???

INGREDIENT LIST :

strawberry extract, jojoba extract, vitamin e, olivem.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE JOVEES STRAWBERRY FACE WASH.

I love the packaging because its pink :-) that is what actually initially attracted me towards this face wash. It is a tube with flip open cap. Tt is sturdy. The face wash has gel like texture and it has big red ball like granules and tiny white granules in it, which helps in lil bit of exfoliation but not much. It produces creamy lather. and it smells like sweet candies which i love.

It cleanses my skin well. but it makes my skin dry after five minutes. i can feel the dryness on my face. so post moisturisation is absolutely necessary. It claims that it makes the skin '' fairer glowing '' but i havent noticed any glow or fairness so far . Its just an other typical face wash that cleanses well but doesnt do anything much.. It says that it is for normal to dry skin but i feel its not gonna work for dry skin..oily to normal skin people can use it.

PROS

1. pretty packaging
2. smells really nice
3. cleanses well.

CONS

1. Makes the skin dry
2. complete ingredient list is not mentioned
3. on the whole it does not fulfill any of its claim.

MY RATING

2.5/5

BEAUTY HACK : HOW TO USE UP MAKEUP KITS / SETS THAT ARE LESS PIGMENTED..

Hello ladies.. happy sunday.. hope you are all enjoying the weekend.. today am gonna share a tip with you all.. simple but effective. :-) okay.. if you are a makeup/ beauty lover like me, you probably might have started your makeup journey with a small makeup kit that you got as a gift from your relatives or your friends..at least that is where my journey started.. i used to get these makeup kits as a gift from my relatives at a very young age , when i knew nothing about makeup.. nothing but the colors attracted me in those makeup kits..i honestly never used those kits or sets how ever you wish to call them. And after couple of years they traveled directly to the trash. End of the story :-P So in this post i am sharing my tips on how to use up these makeup kits rather than throwing them without using them.

Even now i am getting these kinds of makeup sets.. recently i got one from my sister who went on a trip to singapore.. these kits comes with different shades of eye shadows and blushes. some of the shades are really pretty but they are not pigmented..

look at all those pretty colors.. but am definitely not going to use many of these colors.. when it comes to eye shadows i always prefer browns, bronze, gold, copper.. all those neutral shades.. these shades goes really well with all indian outfits.. if i feel lil crazy ill try purples and dark blues.. because those two colors compliments brown eyes really well..but the problem with these eye shadows are they are not that pigmented. of course you can use eye primer to make these pop out.. but eye primers are quite expensive. primers in general are expensive.. so here is what i usually do.. i use bb creams as my eye primer and it works as good as a primer..

Now i have experimented this trick for you all..

i picked up three of my favorite shades and experimented it with and without a bb cream. now take a closer look at it.

I used bb cream on top and in the bottom its just the eye shadow with out any base. The one with the bb cream as a base is more vibrant than the other. It stays for a longer time as well.
to test their longitivity i tried rubbing them with my hands and here is what happened.

As you can see, the one with the bb cream underneath stayed better. i used fair n lovely bb cream in case if you are wondering.. i dont like this particular bb cream but it works really well as an eyeshadow primer.. same with your foundations. you can even use your foundation to make the colors pop out.

These makeup kits comes with pretty blushes as well.. they are not pigmented either.. but i like my blushes to be less pigmented because when a blush is crazily pigmented it makes me look like a clown. but when it is less pigmented i can build up the color to my desire.

These sets or kits also comes with mini brushes which never solved its purpose ;-).. but i use them in some other ways.

it comes with a sponge tip eyeshadow applicator.. but i never use it for eye shadow application i use it as a smudging tool.. it is a very good smudging tool. some of the brushes in the above pic is lil dirty coz i used them for smudging.. And those lil blush brush can be used as a highlighter brush.. they are really good in high lighting.. and it comes with an eye pencil which is not that pigmented.. i use it as my eyebrow pencil.. i used to go very light handed with these pencils on my eyebrows and smudge it with my sponge tip applicator.. It also comes with a lip brush, which actually works really well as a lip brush itself but the problem is , the bristles easily comes off.. so i use it couple of times and throw them away..

And here comes another part storage... i have five of these kits.. i like only few colors from each of the kits.. its not possible for me to store all of these kits on my vanity.. so here is what i did.

I scrapped off my favorite colors from these kits and i stored them like this.. i have demonstrated three different ways to store them.. i stored them in a small container , i stored some of the colors in self lock covers and i even used my old contact lense case.. this way i can have all my favorite shades from these makeup sets on my vanity without having to keep those large sets as a whole. Now i can store away rest of the makeup kits somewhere in my cupboard or somewhere else.

I hope this was useful in some way to you all. THANK YOU :-)

REVIEW ON HIMALAYA HERBALS UNDER EYE CREAM

Hi everyone.. happy weekend.. its been ages since i blogged... but yeah i am back again after hundred years ;-) today am gonna talk about an under eye cream from himalaya herbals..  I do have dark circles but nothing dramatic, it can be hidden under a good concealor . But having a good, problem free skin is important right..!!!!!! so i tried few other under eye creams as well but nothing worked for me :-( i was still searching for a good eye cream, that is when i found this under eye cream from himalaya.

PRICE : INR 165 for 15ml

SHELF LIFE : 3 years.

Lets see what the product says

"Himalaya herbal healthcare is a range of natural, effective and safe products that use special herbs carefully selected from nature. combining the best of ayurveda with years of scientific research, these products effectively restore your skin's natural health and vitality."

INGREDIENT LIST : aqua, propyleneglycol, mineral oil, caprylic/capric triglycerine, paraffin, cetyl alcohol, steareth-2, glyceryl stearth SE, steareth-21, petrolatum, cetearyl alcohol, carbomer, triethonalamine, xanthan gum, tocopheryl acetate, methylparaben, bergenia ligulata root extract, cipadessa baccifera flower/leaf/stem extract, triticum vulgare germ oil, propylparaben, disodium EDTA, imidazolidinyl urea...

Thats a lot of chemicals :-/ one thing i dont like about the himalaya herbals is that they say they are herbal products but contains hell a lot of chemicals in them. and they contain paraben which is not so cool.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT :

It comes in a cute tube packaging. It is very travel friendly. It has a pointy tip for easy application of product which is really nice.

it has a very light texture.. it gets absorbed easily.. it does not feel greasy at all. i even tried using bb cream on top of it, it did not melt my bb cream away. you just have to give it a lil time before using any makeup. The product says it reduces 50 percent of the dark circles in four weeks.. I really wanted know whether it works . I started using it on 20th of june and today is august 2nd, which is obviously more than 4 weeks.. I religiously used it twice daily, once in the morning and once in the night, from 20 th of june to 20th of july which is exactly 4 weeks.. it reduced my dark circle to an extent.. nothing significant but the difference is noticeable, at least they dont claim to make any huge difference. It did nothing with the fine lines though. Then i stopped using it on 21st july within 3 to 4 days i noticed my dark circle was getting deeper again. so i started using it again and now the dark circle is fading out a lil bit.

This is how much i use on each of my eyes.. just a drop is more than enough. 18ml tube will last you for two and half months exactly,if you use one drop of cream on each under eye area, twice daily. it doesnt have any fragrance or smell to it.. its just plain.

PROS

1. affordable
2. the texture is very light
3. moisturizes the under eye area
4. does not melt away the makeup that i put on top
5. convinient packaging
6. it reduces dark circle to an extent.

CONS

1. it does nothing with the fine lines
2. it doesnt reduces dark circle significantly. i mean it works but slowly
3. i dont see any brightening action taking place on my under eye area as they claim.
4. i am getting dark circle shortly after stop using the product. it works like a temporary thing.

MY FINAL OPINION

Over all it is a good under eye moisturizer which reduces dark circle to an extent.. people with heavy under eye dark circles are not going to be benefited out this product. but for those who have slight under eye dark circle you can see visible difference in a month.

MY RATINGS

2.9 /5

THANK YOU :-)
