REVIEW ON HIMALAYA HERBALS ACNE-N-PIMPLE CREAM

Hello every one happy sunday :-P .... i absolutely have no plans today so i thought i should spend some time on my blog.. i have quite a few products to talk about today which will be posted soon after this review.. so now am gonna talk about a herbal product from himalaya which is called '' HIMALAYA HERBALS ACNE-N-PIMPLE CREAM''. 

I have been using this product for so long and i swear by this.. it literally is the best treatment for acne and pimple.. i dont have a huge pimple or acne problem.. but i do get pimples once in a while very rarely.. when i see a pimple trying to pop out from my face this is what i do for that... i just dab a little bit of this cream on my pimple and leave it over night and the next morning it just dries out my pimple and i do the same thing next day and the pimple will be just gone.. how wonderful is that..

WHAT DOES IT SAYS??

It says it contains 100 percent herbal actives... " for scar free pimple treatment. keeps skin soft''.. it also says that '' natural herbal formulation tend to change colour over time. however , the product efficacy remains unchanged.''

DIRECTION : cleanse or wash face and apply the required quantity of acne-n-pimple cream over the affected area twice daily.

INGREDIENTS : Each gm contains exts. kumari ( aloe barbadensis ) 200mg , shalmali ( salmalia malabarica ) 12.5 mg, nirgundi (vitex negundo ) 12.5 gm . pdrs. masura (lens culinaris ) 25mg , saurashtri 25mg.

INACTIVES : methylparaben ip, propylparaben ip, bronopol ip.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT :

As i mentioned before i dont have a huge pimple or acne problem.. so i dont own a lot of pimple cream.. i love himalaya herbal products a lot so i thought of giving it a shot.. this cream is very affordable like any other himalaya product.. it comes in a tube like this with a green twist open cap.. it has a mild herbal kind of smell which is not too strong.. it has a whipped cream texture..when i get a pimple i used to dab a lil bit of product on the pimple and leave it as it is.. it dries after few minutes..it cannot be applied during day time especially when you go out because this cream is not going to get absorbed it is just like a mask for your pimple.. it dries out the pimple easily..

this is how the cream looks like.. you dont need a lot of product so its gonna last you a long time.. i got my tube probably a year ago i dont remember exactly but i havent finished it yet.. it is still gonna last me for a long time.

2. very affordable
3. available widely
4. it dries out the pimple quickly
5. herbal product
6. it will last you for ever.

CONS

1. it contains paraben in its inactive ingredient list.

SO WHATS MY OVER ALL OPINION ??

    Its a very good product for the price you pay.. it works really well which is very important.. i will definitely recommend this to anyone who is facing acne and pimple problem. :)

UPDATE : i suggested this cream to my sister who is facing acne problem . she lives in singapore and she said she couldnt find himalaya anywhere in singapore.. so she asked me to send her one. i went to health and glow near me to buy this cream and it was not there.. usually this cream is even available in pahrmaes so i went to few pahrmacies as well none of them had this cream. so i went to an exclusive himalaya outlet and asked for the cream. the SA gave me the cream. but they have changed the packaging.

everything else remains the same.. price, ingredient list , texture, frgrance, quantity everything else is same except for the packaging. i kinda liked the old packaging better than the new packaging.. coz the old one had pink on it ;-) i love pink so yeah :-) 

REVIEW ON THE COLORESSENCE AQUA MAKEUP BASE

Hello every one :) hope you are all doing good.. i have some issues with my pc.. so i had to borrow my dads pc to post this review today :/ okay now enough with my stories :) lets get in to it... todays review is on a foundation from coloressence which is called ''aqua makeup base''... coloressence is one of the really affordable makeup brand available in India .. its a makeup line which belongs to nature's essence skin care .. i have been using their golden facial kit and banana facial kit for a while now, which will be reviewed in my blog soon.. i got this foundation a while ago but dint get a chance to use it..It is in the shade LF-1 beige. recently i started using this and i decided to share my review on it.. 

PRICE : RS 150 for 35 ml.

SHELF LIFE : 3 years.

WHAT DOES THE PRODUCT SAYS??

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT :

     I love the packaging of this foundation.. they call it as makeup base but its actually a foundation with medium to light coverage.. it smells so flowery.. i love the smell.. but it might be a problem for those who dont like any fragrances. it has a really smooth and creamy texture..As i mentioned earlier it is a medium to light coverage foundation.. when i started applying this foundation for the first time i thought i got a shade lighter than my actual skin tone.. but when i started blending the foundation it blended very well with my skin tone and its smooth consistency makes it so easy to blend the product in to my skin.. it contains spf 20 which is really good.. but i have noticed that it dint give any white cast in my flashed photographs  which is really awesome.. it is not going to conceal your spots or dark circle but it definitely evens out the skin tone and gives a brightened effect.. it stays on for about 3-4 hrs on my skin.. if you have any dry spots this foundation is going to enhance the dryness so you definitely need to moisturize before using this product..

3. travel friendly and cute packaging
4. it smells really nice.. which can be considered as a con as well.
5. gives medium to light coverage.
6. even out the skin tone.

9. you get a lot of product for an affordable price.

CONS

1. smell. if you have a sensitive nose then this can be a problem.
2. enhances the dry spots.
3. does not cover spots or dark circle.
4. complete ingredients list is not mentioned.

MY FINAL VERDICT :

I would say that this foundation works just like a bb cream.. but you need to moisturise your skin before using this... the quantity you get is more than a normal bb cream that is available in the markets today..

MY RATING :

i would give 3.5/5 for this product.. (  minus 1.5 for lesser coverage and enhancing the dryness )

REVIEW ON HIMALAYA HERBALS REFRESHING CLEANSING MILK.

Hello everyone today i am gonna review a cleansing milk from himalaya herbals, which is called ''HIMALAYA HERBALS CLEANSING MILK all skin types''.. I got this cleansing milk a while ago and i have been using this every now and then, but not everyday.. when i have a full face of makeup and i need some extra deep cleansing then i use this cleansing milk to remove my left out makeup which my face wash couldnt completely take out..

PRICE ; 80 rs for 100 ml.

SHELF LIFE : 3 years.

PACKAGING : This is how the bottle looks.. It comes with a green cap which flip opens and shut with a click.. so it is sturdy and you dont have to worry about the leaking while travelling.. since the packaging is opaque it is difficult to find out how much is left in the bottle.

WHAT DOES THE PRODUCT SAYS ??

A special blend of herbs that gently removes dirt , makeup and daily impurities while maintaing your skin's natural moisture balance. lemon, a natural cleanser and astringent, clarifies and refreshes, grape seed rejuvenates and mentha sp cools your skin to keep it clear, healthy and radiant.

METHOD OF USE : Add a few drops to a cotton pad and wipe over face and neck.

EACH ML CONTAINS : jambira (citrus lemon) 0.5mg, draksha(vitis vinifera)0.4mg, peppermint satva (mentha spp)0.1mg

INACTIVES : Methylparaben ip, propylparaben ip, phenoxyethanol ip.

It is mentioned in the product that it tends to change color over time but the efficacy remains the same.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT :

it smells really nice like herbs not too over powering.. it is a white liquid with  runny consistency.. it is not too watery or it is not lotion like consistency either.. i have sensitive skin. this cleansing milk does not irritate my skin or it does not burn my eyes.. it does the job really well ..it removes even long wear makeup so easily. you need only little amount to use on your entire face and neck.. 

Here i conducted a test to show how well it removes the makeup..

products used in the swatches are

1. Maybelline 24 hr stay drama gel liner
2. maybelline 14 hr stay lipstick in non stop red
3.maybelline cheeky glow blush in creamy cinnamon
4. faces glam on eye shadow in pure gold
5. fair and lovely bb cream.

I took about three drops of the cleansing milk. and placed it on my swatches and pressed it for about ten seconds and removed  my swatches.

As you can see it removed my makeup completely.. it works really well..

PROS

1. sturdy packaging
2. very affordable.
3. widely available.
4. it removes even long ever makeup effortlessly.
5. it doesnt irritate my sensitive skin or it does not burn my eyes.

CONS

1. it contains parabens.
2. opaque packaging which makes it difficult to see how much product is remaining.

FINAL WORDS : it is such a good cleansing milk at very affordable price.. it removes long wear makeup and waterproof makeup effortlessly. even if you dont wear makeup it removes all the dirt and pollution off from your face..

I WOULD DEFINITELY REPURCHASE THIS.

REVIEW ON VLCC WALNUT FACE SCRUB

Hello everyone.. happy weekend :-) today am going to review the VLCC WALNUT FACE SCRUB.. i went on a trip to goa earlier this year.. i left my scrub at home so i had to buy one there.. and i ended up getting this one.. now enough with the history :-P lets talk about the product.

 PRICE : RS 150 for 80gm

SHELF LIFE :  it only says best before oct 2017 , manufacturing date is not mentioned in the product.

WHAT DOES THE PRODUCT SAYS ?

Accumulation of dead skin cells, blackheads and whiteheads on your skin do not let the skin breathe. this leaves it dull and lifeless. this product enriched with the goodness of wallnut shell powder, aloe vera extract, vitamin e and glycerin removes skin impurities, dead skin cells and blackheads making it smooth and allows the skin to breathe. this results in improved circulation of blood leading to a healthy and glowing skin.

METHOD OF USE :

Cleanse the face with water or a face wash. take appropriate amount of scrub in your hand and apply all over the face leaving the eyes and mouth area. keep scrubbing for atleast 3 minutes. rinse the face with water . dry with towel.

KEY INGREDIENTS : Walnut shell powder, vitamin e , glycerin, aloevera extract, SLES.

MY TAKE ON THE SCRUB :

The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly ..Okay i am very poor at describing the smells :-P.. this one has got very mild smell which is not too over powering.. it has got very creamy texture to it.. the granules are brown in color.. but they are too tiny.. it does not exfoliate the skin.. i used to exfoliate my skin once in three days.. but this scrub does not exfoliate the skin at all.. since the granules are too tiny and less in quantity it does not do the trick.. it does not dry out my skin either.

 I usually like vlcc 's products but this one disappointed me. this can be used only by people with heavy acne and pimple problem who needs to gently exfoliate the skin.. or if you are searching for an everyday exfoliator you can get this.. but i dont exfoliate my skin everyday..

PROS

1. travel friendly packaging
2. available easily
3. good exfoliator for people with heavy acne and pimple.
4. it has creamy texture.
5. it does not dry out the skin.
6. affordable

CONS

1. granules are too fine.
2. it does not remove the dead skin entirely .
3.complete ingredient list is missing.

FINAL VERDICT : it does not do the trick of exfoliation. it is a scrub which doesnt exfoliate :-p it is very very gentle that it doesnt scrub away the dead cells. i would never repurchase this scrub.

JOVEES CUCUMBER SKIN TONER - REVIEW

Hello every one.. its been a really long time since i blogged.. i had a lot of stuffs going on in my life. My sister got married earlier this year and i traveled to north India.. i went through a ligament tear on my left hand which was horrible :( and i had my final year exams.. i was totally occupied since the beginning of 2015.. Now that i am free from all those busy stuffs i have decided to continue with my blog.. ok now enough with the excuses lets get in to the subject :) 

Today am gonna be reviewing the jovees cucumber toner, which i absolutely loved during the summer..

PRICE : rs 130 for 100 ml.

WHAT THE PRODUCT SAYS? 

An exclusively well formulated skin toner for oily skin that provides a more thorough cleansing than cleanser alone, it helps to remove excessive oil, dirt, tightens the pores, restore skins natural PH, provides radiance and leaves the skin revitalized. 

METHOD OF USE :

Clean face preferably with jovees tea tree face wash and pat dry. spray sufficient quantity on cotton balls and dab on face and neck. use twice.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS :

Cucumber extract , sage, aloe vera, chamomile.

MY IMPRESSION ON THE JOVEES CUCUMBER SKIN TONER :

I really like the packaging.. it is so travel friendly.. it has a bigger version of 200ml which is not so travel friendly. it is a green color water like liquid. it has soapy smell to it which many people might not like but it does not bothers me. I have been using this for the past one and half months now. I used to keep this in fridge and spray it when ever i feel like. It is so refreshing especially when i went out during summer and it is too hot outside.. As soon as i reach home i used to wash my face and spray this on my face .. It feels so calming and soothing.. Sun badly irritates my skin when i am exposed to it even for 5 min.. i used to get pink color patches on my skin.. this toner helps to calm down my skin and reduce the irritation. it stings a little bit when i accidentally spray it on my eyes. 

It has a light slippery feel to it when i spray it on my face..but it definitely refreshes and calms down my skin. I tried a new face cream on my face , few days back and it burned so much. i sprayed this toner on my face and it made my skin calm and soothing. It lathers up in the bottle if you shake it slightly.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT ? 

1. cute packaging
2. very affordable
3. so refreshing , calming and soothing.
4. it contains cucumber and aloe vera extract which is really good during summer.
5. reduces irritation and redness.

WHAT I DONT LIKE ABOUT THE PRODUCT ?

1. It lathers up like a soap mixture.
2.it has a slippery texture to it.
3. it does nothing about the tightening of pores or controlling the oil.
4. some people might not like the smell of it because it is too artificial.

MY FINAL VERDICT : It is really good in calming and soothing the skin. it definitely refreshes my skin and it is very affordable. I would definitely repurchase it.

UNIQUE USES OF PETROLEUM JELLY OR VASELINE

Hello every one, today am gonna talk about various uses of vaseline or petroleum jelly..

Vaseline is the name of a brand which became a generic trademark of the term petroleum jelly.. petroleum jelly is such a versatile product and has various beauty and other uses.. There are some well known uses of these wonder-jelly like using it as a lip balm for soft lips and using it as a hand cream etc but there are few unusual and unique uses that most people are not aware of.. Now lets see them..

1. TIGHT JEWELRY

Am sure that all of us have gone through this situation where we struggled a lot to take off a tight ring from our finger or if you had your ears or nose pierced and you wanna change your earring for the first time after piercing and it is gonna pain terribly.. Here is the solution for this problem.. take a little bit of vaseline or petroleum jelly and apply it on your finger or ears or nose and then try taking off your jewelry it is gonna just slide away without any trouble.

2. LONG LASTING PERFUME : 

For your perfume to last longer rub in some vaseline on your wrist , back of your neck or wherever you are gonna apply your perfume.. This way the vaseline acts as a base to hold your perfume and your perfume will  last much longer than it normally would. 

3. EYE BROW GEL :

For a perfectly tamed eyebrow that does not move out of its place, apply little bit of vaseline and brush your eyebrows with a old mascara wand.. this way your eyebrows just stay in place..

4.TIGHT ZIP 

If your zipper got stuck and you struggle every time to pull your zip , apply little bit of vaseline to your zip and it is gonna run smoothly..

5. TO REMOVE LIPSTICK STAIN FROM CLOTHES 

It is normally very difficult to remove lipstick stain from your clothes.. so here is the solution , apply little bit of vaseline where you wanna remove the stain and rub it for few second and wipe it off with  tissue paper and then wash your cloth as you normally would.. lipstick stain is gonna vanish once you rinse the cloth..

6. SHINY SHOES AND HANDBAG 

If you are carrying a leather purse or a hand bag or you are wearing leather shoes, which is little bit old and it has lost its shine , apply some vaseline to give it a fresh look.. it will be as good as new..

7. AS A CUTICLE OIL 

You can use vaseline as a cuticle oil for keeping your cuticles soft and supple..

8. TO PREVENT DYE STAIN IN YOUR FACE 

If you are applying hair dye by yourself, you might accidentally touch your skin around your hair line and it is very difficult to remove the stain from your skin.. for preventing this apply vaseline along your hair line and back of your neck.. this way vaseline does not allow the dye to stain your skin.. even if you accidentally dropped dye in your skin you can easily wipe it off with tissue..

9. FOR A PERFECT MANICURE : 

similar to that of hair dye you might accidentally apply nail polish all over your cuticle or skin around your nails.. to avoid this rub little bit of vaseline along your cuticle and skin around your nails avoiding the finger nails.. and then apply your nail polish.. vaseline does not allow the nail polish to stain on your skin.. of course if you dont apply vaseline you can dip q tip in nail polish remover and then remove all those stained nail polishes but applying vaseline is easier than that..

10.AS A FACE ILLUMINATOR 

Vaseline can also be used as face illuminator to give that fresh jewy look.. i am not a big fan of matte look and i always uses this tip to bring that glow to my skin.. after applying makeup take some vaseline and slightly rub it in your cheek bone and brow bone area, so that when light hits those area it gives nice glowing effect to your skin..

11, TO PREVENT NAIL POLISH BOTTLES FROM SHUTTING CLOSE

Sometime it becomes really difficult to open a nail polish bottle cap since  the nail polish around the neck of the bottle becomes dry and makes to cap to closed tightly.. to avoid this apply little bit of vaseline around the neck of the nail polish bottle and then close the bottle..this way you dont have to worry about your favorite nail polish shutting closed.

12. MAKEUP REMOVER 

 Vaseline is a wonderful makeup remover.. it removes even water proof makeup.. and it is very gentle..

13. FOR BABY SOFT FEET 

To get baby soft feet , apply some vaseline to your feet at night and cover it with socks.. and you will wake up with a soft smooth feet.. i did this regularly and it got rid of my cracked heels..

14. FOR A SOFT ELBOWS AND KNEES 

Elbows and knees tends to get dry more, so moisturizer is just not enough to make your elbows and knees soft.. apply some vaseline to your elbows and knees to make it smooth and soft..

15. FOR A SOFT LIPS

Okay i know this is very familiar but i thought it is worth mentioning.. i am a huge lip balm addict.. i always constantly apply lip balms.. some times i come back to vaseline.. to be honest it is far far far better than any other lip balms in the market.. i have heard people saying that applying vaseline makes your lips darker.. but thats just a myth.. it makes your lips baby soft.. you can also add some sugar to vaseline and use it as lip scrub.. 

REVIEW ON NYLE DRYNESS CONTROL SHAMPOO

Hi guys , today am gonna review a hair care product by ''Nyle'' it is their dryness control shampoo with amla, tulsi and green tea.. i have never tried anything in this brand before.. i was in a search for a mild herbal shampoo and this one caught my attention.. i got a spinz body spray for free along with this pack :-D.. there is no conditioner available for this shampoo :( .. 

PRICE : RS 225 for 600 ml

SHELF LIFE : 2 years

Ingredients list contains a whole lot of chemicals and they say it is natural shampoo :-/

it comes in this huge transparent plastic bottle with a green cap.. it smells like a mixture of amla and tulsi.. but it is very mild.. it is a transparent liquid with a little bit of green tint.. it lathers up really well which i like.. 

as i mentioned earlier this shampoo doesnt have a conditioner,so i used it without any conditioner for a couple of times.. it made my hair extremely dry and rough.. then i used it with my pantene conditioner it gave some better result.. i would recommend this shampoo only to people with extremely oily scalp.. it is gonna wash out all the oil from your scalp.. people with dry scalp like me should stay million miles away from this stuff :P

DO I LIKE THE SHAMPOO ?? NOOOO :( and i am never gonna buy this shampoo again..

WHY?? because..

1. It doesnt control dryness instead it creates dryness.. they should change the name as oiliness control shampoo.. :P
2.It is not a herbal or natural shampoo.
3.it doesnt have a conditioner.
4. it strips all the natural oil from your scalp.

ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT IT ?? it lathers up really well.. and it completely cleanses the scalp.. people with extremely oil scalp can use this shampoo..
