REVIEW ON MAYBELLINE'S NEW LASTING DRAMA GEL LINER IN 01 BLACK

Hi everyone,

Today I am gonna review a gel eye liner form maybelline called LASTING DRAMA GEL LINER in 01 black.. I am a huge fan of kajal in any form.. my eyes cant live without kajal.. I am a die hard fan of maybelline's colossal kajal I have been using it for 3 to 4 years now.. recently when i was exploring maybelline's counter I came across this lasting drama gel eye liner.. I have seen their old gel eye liner with blue and black packaging and it had a aluminium kind of cap to it.. but this was bit different and they changed the packaging as well.. the SA in the counter told that it is gonna stay for 36 hours.. but come on... who is gonna wear a kajal for continuous 36 hours??? :P.. i tried their tester it was creamy and intense and the SA told it is a 2 in 1 product.. it can be worn as a eye liner and kajal as well so I wanted to give it a short.. 

PRICE : RS 475 for 2.5gm

SHELF LIFE : 36 months.

PRODUCT CLAIM ; It says, it is more intense,upto 36h lasting , smudgeproof and water proof.. lets see whether it lived upto its claims..

I have been using this product for last two months exactly and I am in love with this gel liner.. it comes with a brush which is so user friendly.. it is so intense and creamy.. you need to apply this and let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes and you are good to go.. it stays for about 8 to 9 hours on me without smudging after which it slightly fades off..

As i already mentioned i have been using this product for last two months and i have emptied only that much.. so it is gonna last me for so long..

This is how it goes.. and it is just a single swipe.. i tried to smudge it immediately after swiping it, i dint even allow it to set and this is what happened

It did smudge a little but its only because i dint allow it to set.. and it is waterproof i have tested that too :).. 

DO I LIKE IT ?? YESSS.. thats a big YESS.. 

WHY?? 

Because 

1. it is so intense

2. it stays for 8 to 9 hrs without smudging 

3.it will last me for at least six months

4. it is reasonably price when compared to other gel liners.

5. i can reuse the brush even if the product is emptied.

6. good value for the money

WHAT IS NOT SO COOL ABOUT IT?? 

I wear contact lenses.. this stuff sometimes get transferred on my lenses.. so i have to apply this very carefully.. and wait till it dries.. other than that.. it is sooo awesome :)

MY TAKE ON THE BODY SHOP SHEA SHOWER CREAM

Today am gonna share a review on shower cream from body shop.. I ordered this online.. I have been using this shower cream for past three to four weeks.. it is quite different from other body wash or shower gels... I like using shower products which moisturizes my skin.. i mean who does nt?? :) so when I saw this online with the name ''shower cream ''rather that ''shower gel'' or '' body wash'' it intrigued me to try this stuff.. so I ended up ordering this shower cream..

The product says it is a soap free cleanser with shea butter from burkina faso.. That is the only part I understood from the package.. rest of the content are written some language which I cant even guess as to what. :P

PRICE : Rs 425 for 250ml..

SHELF LIFE : 30 months..

WHAT I THINK ABOUT THIS SHOWER CREAM ???

Well, I was quite excited to try this stuff when i received it at my door steps.. the packaging is so cute.. it is short and stout.. Bodyshop products are well reputed for their quality and natural ingredients.. It smells so good.. it reminds me of some perfume that I used long back which i could nt recollect.. anyway it has some nice floral kind of smell.. it is neither too watery nor too thick.. it has a right consistency in between.. 

It doesnt lather up like a normal shower gel since it is a soap free cleanser.. one should mix the product with little bit of water and spread it all over the body.. if feels so smooth and soft.. i sometimes forget my moisturizer after my bath but even without moisturizer this shower cream keeps my skin soft and hydrated which is awesome.. my skin feels nourished and clean at the same time.. 

DO I LIKE THE PRODUCT ?? YES..

WHY??

1.It makes my skin so soft and smooth even without moisturizer that too in this winter months..
2.It is a soap free shower product so it is very gentle on my skin..
3. my skin feels nourished and clean at the same time..

DRAWBACK

Since this product doesnt lather up you need to use more product than an actual shower gel or body wash to cover your whole body..
I personally want my shower gel to lather up really well.. but this doesnt do that.. but it cannot be considered as a con because that is the whole concept of this shower cream..

WILL I RECOMMEND THIS TO A FRIEND ?? Of course .. i will recommend this to all skin type..

TREAT PIMPLE AT HOME.

Pimple is one of the frustrating things that happens to our skin.. people of different age group faces this problem.. there is a common myth that only teens face pimple and acne problem and it happens to those with oily skin but it is not so.. it can happen to people of any age group and people with dry and normal skin may also get pimple due to various reasons and the mark they leave on your skin doesnt fade away so easily..

WHAT IS PIMPLE EXACTLY ?? 

When the pores of the face get clogged due to accumulation of sebum and dirt , it leads to pimple..

WHAT CAUSES PIMPLE  ??

There are various reasons for getting pimple.. some of the major causes are

1. POLLUTION : when your skin gets exposed to pollution, dust and dirt in the environment get trapped into your skin and causes pimple.

2.HORMONAL IMBALANCE : When your body faces hormonal imbalances it can cause pimple.

3.STRESS : stress is one of the important reason for pimples.. when you experience too much of stress it shows on your skin.

4. FOOD : when you consume lot of oily food and oil content it causes pimples.

5. BEAUTY PRODUCTS : your skin may not agree with some of the ingredients in your makeup and skin care product which can result in pimples.

HOW TO GET RID OF PIMPLE AND ACNE MARKS ?? 

One can follow these simple home remedy to get rid of pimple ans acne marks

1. NEEM AND TERMERIC 

 Grind neem leaves with termeric powder.. apply on to your face and neck and wash it after twenty minutes.. you can do this twice a week. Neem kills the bacteria which causes pimple and prevent spreading of pimples..

2. TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL : 

Tea tree is an excellent cure for pimple and acne marks.. it helps to fade away the  marks  left by pimple. Mix tea tree essential oil with any career oil and apply it directly on pimple or marks.. it helps in vanishing your pimple and marks caused by it.

3. MUD PACK 

You need to absorb those oil accumulated in your pimple basically. so use a mud mask to absorb the oil.. you can mix multani matti and rose water..

4. CINNAMON POWDER 

 Mix cinnamon powder and rose water. apply this mixture on your face and wash it after twenty minutes..

FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO BE NOTED :

• Wash your face at least thrice a day with gentle face wash.. you need to keep your skin clean.
• Apply astringent after washing your face.. you can use apple cider vinegar as an astringent.
• Do not touch or pop out your pimple.. it only aggravates the problem.
• Do not over exfoliate.. exfoliation helps in cleaning your skin.. but when you have pimple going on, you need to be very gently while exfoliating.
• Follow Cleansing Toning Moisturizing routine regularly..

BIOTIQUE ALOE VERA FACE AND BODY SUN LOTION SPF 75 REVIEW

Hi everybody today i am gonna review a product from biotique.. it is well known for its herbal products.. i like to use products which are natural and chemical free.. so i tried few biotique products.. today i am gonna talk about their sunscreen..it is very important to apply sunscreen through out the year.. it should not be neglected even during rainy season..i bought this one few months back and used it quite a bit..

PRICE : RS 180 for 210 ml..

SHELF LIFE : 3 years

INGREDIENTS LIST : it contains ghritkumari, neem, nagamotha, surajmukhi tail, kulanjan, himalayan water..

It comes in a plastic bottle with green cap.. it doesnt have any pump or anything like that.. the packaging is very simple..

it smells like fresh green leaves.. it is light green in color.. the consistency is somewhere between an oil and a liquid.. like many other sunscreen it does not make my skin oily.. it blends easily into my skin and it gives nice cooling effect.. it claims that it has spf 75 UVA/UVB protection.. i seriously doubt that.. because they claim that it is purely organic and there is no preservative..how can a herbal product contain spf of 75??..

 It does not cause any irritation to my skin.. it does not make my skin sweaty or oily.. it gets absorbed into my skin.. the staying power is pretty good.. it stays about 4 to 5 hours on me..

WHAT IS MY OPINION ABOUT THIS SUNSCREEN?

I always like to use natural products on my skin this one contains all natural ingredients and it smells so fresh.. it is not oily.. it blends well.. stays for a decent time.. it is very affordable.. it is available so easily..
Now lets look into the cons.. i doubt their claim that it contains spf 75..

WILL I RECOMMEND THIS ? yes.. i will recommend this to all skin type..

LIVON SILKY POTION REVIEW

Hi.. :) today am gonna share my view on livon silky potion.. winter is here.. like everybody else i too face certain skin and hair issues during these cold months.. dryness is a major problem that i face.. my hair became so frizzy due to dryness.. it tangles so easily and my hair breaks when i try to remove tangles.. so i bought this livon hair detangler..It was launched in India way back in 2000.. i was a kid then :P..when i was searching for a hair product which can tame my frizz this cute guy caught my attention.. here is my experience with this product.

The package contains information as to how the product should be used and when it should be used it says '' ideal for use on towel-dried damp hair, after shampooing. can also be used on completely dry hair to smoothen and soften it, prior to combing.
Take an adequate quantity of livon silky potion in your palm depending on the length and thickness of your hair. apply it gently on your hair till each hair strand is covered from base to tip. now touch your hair after combing. feel the difference instantly''

PRICE : RS 115 for 50 ml. it comes in different sizes..

INGREDIENTS :

MY EXPERIENCE WITH LIVON SILKY POTION

It comes in a cute little transparent bottle.. it is available in different sizes i got this one which is 50 ml bottle.

the product is transparent without any fragrance.. it feels like silk in liquid form.. i use about 1/4th 

 of the teaspoon approximately for my entire hair.. I dont apply this product on my roots, i concentrate only on ends and mid of my hair.. hair hair feels so soft and smooth after applying the potion.. i usually apply this when my hair is 70 percent dry and then comb it with a wide tooth comb.. the comb just slides through my hair.. it removes all the tangles.. the potion is neither too watery nor too thick..unlike many other hair serums it does not make my hair greasy when i apply little bit in excess..

DRAWBACKS : It contains silicon which is harmful..i have been using this potion for a month now.. so far it is good..

MY TRAVEL BEAUTY ESSENTIALS..

Hi guys :) i have been really busy with my exams for past few days.. now that am done with my exams and am free from all those stress, i am going on a trip with my family to my parents native.. i have started packing all my stuffs and i thought why not to show you guys, what i am gonna carry with me.. am concentrating only on my beauty products here :) ill share with you guys few organisation tips. lets get into it..

I have catagorized my beauty stuffs into makeup and skin care and others.. and i have packed them in separate self lock cover.. i always have this problem of my products leaking and spilling all over my luggage.. so this time am not gonna make that mistake.. i feel it is much more organised this way..

MY MAKEUP ESSENTIALS

I have just packed my absolute essentials and nothing more.. i am carrying..,

1. ponds bb cream
2. lakme compact powder
3.maybelline hyper curl volume express mascara
4. MAC lustre glass in luminary
5. faces glam on mono eyeshadow in pure gold
6. maybelline eyestudio lasting drama gel eyeliner
7. lakme lip love conditioner in flirt.
8. elle 18 color pop lipstick in no 36 peach kiss.
9.Revlon super lustrous in pure attraction

SKIN CARE

Am carrying,
1. clean and clear mini face wash
2. ponds mini cold cream
3. vaseline mini
4. everyuth apricot scrub ( i have transferred my scrub in a lil white container)
5. vlcc sunscreen sample pocket.
6. my DIY moisturizer which is in that dropper bottle.
7. khadi rose and honey moisturizer
8. khadi herbal shampoo and conditioner
9. face tissues.. i always carry dry tissues because am allergic to wet wipes.. even baby skin wipes irritates my skin. so most of the time i stick with dry tissues.
10. i have a vicks vapour up, just in case..

my body shop shea shower cream doesnt fit in that cover, i have been using this shower cream for past few days so ill be sharing my view on it soon..it doesnt need a loofah to use it..coz it doesnt lather up like usual shower gel.. i kept it in a separate cover along with some hair ties and clips and a pink color box which contains my jewels.. am not carrying bangles or any big jewels.. i am taking few pairs of earring in my pink box..

In a small self lock cover i have packed some cotton buds and some cotton pads and my dental floss.
I do wear contacts, so i have my contacts solution and lens case along with my tooth paste and brush in a separate cover..
Now i am gonna share a important tip with you guys.. it is on how to take your compact powder or eyeshadow or blush without cracking.. i have faced this a lot.. i broke my clinque blush once which was heart breaking ;( The trick is to place cotton pad on top of your compact powder or blush.. so that it acts as a cushion to your product and prevent them from breakage..

Now my compact and eyeshadow are break proof :P

CLEANSING TONING MOISTURIZING ( CTM ) WITH NATURAL INGREDIENTS.

Hi guys.. today am gonna talk about something very important in everyday skin care routine... its CTM.. many of you might already know what is CTM routine and might be following this procedure for ages. In this post am gonna tell you how to follow this CTM routine with natural ingredients. IT is a kind of DIY beauty regime.. Now, what is CTM? it is Cleansing Toning and Moisturizing, which is very important to keep your skin healthy and glowing.. Now lets jump into it..

CLEANSING

Cleansing is a very important step in a beauty routine.. keeping your skin clean and clear will help you in many ways.. it is ideal to wash your face thrice a day.. not more than that or else it is gonna end up really bad..

 CLEANSING INVOLVES TWO STEPS

1. Removing your makeup.
2. washing your face.

MAKEUP REMOVAL : It is very important to remove your makeup at the end of the day.. you may not do this during morning routine coz obviously you wont wear any makeup when you are waking up.. but during night time, no matter how tired are you through out the day, you should not skip this step.. coz sleeping with your makeup on can clog your pores and cause breakouts..

NATURAL WAY TO REMOVE MAKEUP : use coconut oil or olive oil to remove your  makeup.. it can remove even waterproof makeup easily.. take a cotton pad and pour some oil on it and rub it gently on your face and eyes and then wipe it off.. most of your makeup will be out of your face.. then get into the next step i,e washing your face.

FACE WASH : After removing your makeup you can go ahead and wash your face to completely clean your face..

DIY FACE WASH : mix one cup of gram flour with half a cup of milk powder and half a cup of rice powder.. put it in a container and give it a good shake.. it is a face wash in powder form.. it is all natural and very easy to make.. i have been using this face wash for past 5 to 6 days and my skin already feels so soft and smooth.. lactic acid in milk powder will help in cleansing your face.. gram flour and rice flour will help in scrubbing out the dead skin cells..

TONING

So many people have so many different ideas as to what is toning.. as far as i know toning is done to shrink your pores, prevent excessive oil production and to maintain the PH level in the skin.. it is always good to use a natural toner..

DIY TONER : mix one cup of green tea and one cup of apple cider vinegar.. you can find apple cider vinegar in a health food store.. if you dont have apple cider vinegar you can still use green tea as your toner.. make it in small quantity because you have to use it within ten days.. pour few drops of this toner in your cotton pad and apply it on your face and then let it dry..

MOISTURIZING

Last but not least moisturizing.. it is very important to keep your skin moisturized through out.. dry skin will lead to wrinkles.. so moisturizer is a must for all skin types.. it gives nourishment to your skin and keeps your skin healthy..

DIY MOISTURIZER : i have already done a post on how to make all purpose moisturizer which you can check out here DIY MOISTURIZER ... all you have to do is mix coconut oil, olive oil and almond oil and add few drops of glycerine and break a vitamin e capsule and add to it.. it contains all the good stuffs for your skin and it is better than any other store bought product..
